Whether you watched the General Relief Society Meeting at your chapel, at the Conference Center, or online in your pajamas, I hope it was a wonderful evening for you. I loved what Emily M. said about Elder Uchtdorf’s talk here, a “live blog” thoughts and impressions post here, the experience of one member of the Choir here, and general reporting plus video here. Missed it? Just go here to get the links and you can watch or listen to it after (or before) church today. Are you getting excited for General Conference? I know I am.

September 28th, 2008 at 5:07 pmIt was thrilling to see the conference center filled with women. Our stake center was full as well. So many good women everywhere. I loved the accents, as well!

September 29th, 2008 at 8:11 amI loved Elder Uchtdorf’s talk. It was very apparent that he is in touch with the concerns and the needs of the sisters of the Church. I was surprised,at first,by the topic of creativity, but it was just what I needed to hear.

September 29th, 2008 at 9:33 amI love Sister Beck. She is a strong, bold, righteous woman and she always is empowering to listen to. And I love how after her talk telling us to do more, Elder Uchtdorf told us to recognize what we are doing and know it is good.
And I really love that when I got home after the broadcast and dinner my stake had, my kids were all bathed and in bed and the stinky mess my baby left in her crib after her nap was gone.
THAT, my friends, is a GREAT evening!

September 29th, 2008 at 9:30 pmI loved the meeting also. I remember when we didn’t have those meetings – I wonder how we managed??
And I enjoyed the links to the other posts – it’s so good to know that we are all on the same page in our adoration of Elder Uchtdorf!!
And older sister in our stake came up to me and said, “He’s certainly handsome. My husband is Italian, and he’s handsome too. But Elder Uchtdorf might have him beat!”

Emily says: One thing I loved was that fully half the meeting was delivered in wonderful foreign accents. It just made me feel so excited about the worldwideness of our sisterhood. I'm so glad I saw the broadcast instead of talking myself into waiting to read it later. If you missed it, follow one of those links and watch it; the experience can't be duplicated.
