How’s your Summer going? Awesome?
Great.
Have you been doing some activities on your Summer Wall?
Great. Me, too.
Added a few more to your list now and again?
Cool. . .
Oh, what have I added to mine?
Well, (since you asked) the other morning, over Cheerios, Hugh (still 4) said to me, “Mom, I’m going to go easy on you today.” Which unnerved me, but also confirmed some suspicions, and Phoebe (6, so she should know better) said to the home teachers “Well, thanks for coming, now leave!” And Margaret (18 months) thinks it’s funny to scratch me and slap me in the face.
So we’re going to add “teach manners” to our summer list.
And you?

June 28th, 2009 at 9:32 pmHilarious! We didn’t have home teachers for so long that my kids didn’t know what they were there for. They kept saying (loud enough for them to hear) “When are they leaving?”. And my son told me I look bad without makeup…that will get him slapped by his future wife someday. Manners? I’m there with ya!

June 28th, 2009 at 10:02 pmAnd I’m going to add “Stop acting like caged animals crossed with bad comedians” at the dinner table to my summer list. Let’s pray for each other.

June 29th, 2009 at 1:19 amOk…I don’t have any kids, so clearly teaching them manners won’t work. But since it seems to be a Steph-fest, I thought it only appropriate I comment. I do teach Primary, though, and think I will have a talk with my friend whose daughter is in my class and decided to lift my skirt up today.
