LisaI grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska and left the plains to attend BYU. I earned a degree in English and taught middle school and high school for a while. I married an incredibly funny and talented man who convinced me to move to England for a while so he could study Shakespeare. He is currently a theater professor. We’ve been married 13 years. I love painting, reading, and performing improvisational theater. My big outlet is performing with “The Thrillionaires.” We perform theater as improv and make up full-length plays and musicals on the spot. I’ve done various voice-over and commercial work for the past few years. I use my improvisational skills in raising my five children ages: new baby, 3, 5, 8, and 10. That last sentence pretty much sums up what I do. Oh, and my biggest dream is to one day sleep through the night.

KacyDo you like to eat food? Ever read blogs? Like cool stuff? Got kids? Me too! My name is Kacy. I’m your friend. I lurk on your blog so I already know all about you. As for me, I have a Master’s Degree in English from BYU where I occasionally teach part-time, four kids from ages 1 to 10, a marriage of 15 years, and a four-year-old blog called Every Day I Write the Book. |

EmilyI am trying to believe that I am not too much of an old lady to be doing this. The only thing I really have going for me is that I generally have an opinion about things and am delighted to have a voice for it. I like to give advice. And I like people. I’ve been married for 30 years and have five children (two girls and three boys) and two perfect grandchildren. I have been an editor for Deseret Book Company for even longer than 30 years (well, okay, I was engaged when I got the job), and when I’d been here for 25 years and no one wrote the book I wanted, I wrote it myself. I wrote a couple more later. I love words, chocolate, and sleeping (not necessarily in that order; it depends on the day). And I can’t wait to meet you! Books:

Who is Rachel?
If the authors are giving the lesson, Rachel is conducting the meeting: she brings the centerpiece, gives the announcements, and then sits down to enjoy the meeting. She runs the Recipes, Stuff We Like, Polls, Guest Blogs, and Give-Aways.
When she’s not in front of her computer, she is driving one of her three boys to karate, basketball or soccer.
