Countdown

Only 36 hours, 24 minutes until I will have window coverings in my house.  I can only assume this is very good news for the workmen who showed up unannounced around 9:30 am to pour some cement while I was taking a shower.  Memo to workmen:  I’m very sorry you had to see that.  I know the number for a good counselor if you need it.

Only 13 hours, 56 minutes until I meet a blogging friend for the first time who lives in the Denver area.  I feel a little like Meg Ryan in “You’ve Got Mail” when she sends the brave proposition to Tom Hanks when she types something on her computer to the effect of, “Should we…meet?”  Except my blogging friend doesn’t own a bookstore and I don’t have a crush on her.

Only 3 days and 7 hours before I have to see the people again that I went to the cannery with tonight.  (I KNOW!  The cannery?  I’m scaring myself.  If I’m not careful, pretty soon I’ll be hosting the quilting group at my house.)  Note to fellow cannery participants:  I’m sorry, this was my first time.  I’m sorry for using the brush near the fan, which took some of the bristles and blew them to smitherines in the potato flakes.  Oh, and those preservative pouches that are supposed to go in EACH CAN?  Sorry about the 8 cans of apple slices and 14 cans of spaghetti where I sort of forgot that part and we had to open them with a can opener and re-seal them.  Also, I’m sorry I looked so hot in my rubber gloves, plastic apron, and hairnet.  I wasn’t trying to make your wife look bad, it’s just that plastic is my color.

Only 482 pages until I can officially put the Twilight series behind me.
